Jeep Wrangler Earns 2018 ALG Residual Value Awards

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler has earned an ALG Residual Value Award. ALG Residual Value Awards recognize vehicles and brands that stand out from the rest of the market by representing quality, long-term reliability and strong desirability. The ALG awards are the industry benchmark for residual value and depreciation. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler won in the “Off-road Utility” category.

The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler was recognized for being the most capable vehicle in its class. The Jeep Wrangler has long be recognized around the world as the most versatile utility vehicle in the industry with unmatched off-road performance. In 2018 the Jeep Wrangler improved upon its long standing legendary performance with a rare generational redesign that introduces contemporary technology and performance focused body adjustments.

“Jeep and off-road utility vehicles go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise to see the Wrangler take home the Residual Value Award for the Off-road Utility segment,” said Jim Nguyen, President of ALG

The all-new Wrangler was unveiled this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Wrangler is the flagship vehicle of the Jeep brand and it was announced that this year would be the first major generational change for the Wrangler in almost a decade. The Jeep Wrangler retains most of its iconic body features while enhancing on approach and departure angles and front and rear overhangs. The new Jeep Wrangler is slightly longer than previous generations but retains the same width and height.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler comes equipped standard with a 3.6-liter Penstar V6 that produces 285 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque. New to the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be a more powerful turbo engine option. The new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 270 horsepower with 295 lb-ft of torque. This smaller more efficient engine offers more torque than its V-6 counterpart which greatly increase its off-road capabilities.
