What’s new in the 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

One of the most exciting changes for the 2024 model year is the introduction of a brand-new trim level called Rubicon X. This new model is an even more premium version of the Rubicon trim level, packed full of outstanding off-road features including larger 33” tires, steel bumpers and an integrated off-road camera. Another brand-new trim for this year is the Sport S 4xe model, which introduces a lower price point for the plug-in hybrid SUV. Several other trim levels received adjustments as well, such as the larger 33” tires and 10.8” of ground clearance in the Willys trim.

In addition to all of these trim level adjustments, there are some other improvements to the vehicle’s exterior design. The iconic seven-slot grille inherent to every Jeep vehicle has been updated in many vehicles on the lineup, including this one. A trail-ready stealth antenna has been integrated into the windshield, you can opt for 12-way power-adjustable front seats, there are 10 redesigned wheels to choose from as well as a new exterior color option called Anvil.

Powertrain Options

When shopping for a 2024 Jeep Wrangler, you’ll have four different powertrains from which to choose. The standard option in most models is a 3.6L V6 engine capable of generating 285 horsepower alongside 260 pound-feet of torque, but you can upgrade many trim levels to the slightly less powerful but more efficient 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder option that delivers 270 hp and 295 lb-ft. of torque.

The top-of-the-line Rubicon 392 trim level is instead powered by an exclusive 6.4L V8 engine that upgrades power all the way to 470 hp and lb-ft. of torque. Finally, there’s the 4xe PHEV powertrain, which combines a 2.0L turbocharged engine with two electric motors for a total of 375 hp and 470 lb-ft. of torque.
