Everything We Know About the 2024 Ram Pickup
In the summer of 2021, Stellantis held an EV Day event where they highlighted future plans and releases for a number of the brands under their umbrella. Among the announcements was an ambitious plan to offer an EV model in most of the segments that they cover by 2025, and in all of those segments by 2030. In more specific news, though, the brand announced that the first electric Ram pickup truck would be joining the lineup in 2024. We thought we’d go over everything we know so far about the 2024 Ram Pickup.

What will the 2024 Ram Pickup be?
The iconic Ram 1500 has been around even longer than Ram has been its own brand. It is a legendary model in the truck market and it is the perfect place for Ram to start with its electrification. The 2024 Ram 1500 will be completely redesigned for that model year, and it will be the first all-electric Ram pickup truck. With so much time between now and its release, details are still relatively scarce, but we know this much at least.
Speculation on Capabilities & Performance
As mentioned, very few details have been released let alone confirmed for the upcoming 2024 Ram Pickup EV. While the announcement of the all-electric truck wasn’t accompanied by any official specifications, executives did mention that the Ram EV will offer a higher max towing capacity than its competitors. Its most well-known competitor thus far is the Ford F-150 Lightning, which is confirmed to offer a max towing capacity of 10,000 pounds. So, we can speculate that the Ram EV will offer more than that. How much more? Your guess is as good as ours.

Executives also made a bold claim that the pickup truck will offer an all-electric range of 500 miles. An impressive number in and of itself, it’s made even more impressive when you realize the F-150 Lightning has a maximum range of just 300 miles.
