Jeep Expands Badge Of Honor Trails

Trail Badge with the Jeep Wrangler

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator were already two of the most capable off-road vehicles in the world and they recently got significant updates that brought more upscale interior finishes, even more off-road capability, and better technology. One of the more notable features in the group is the new Badge of Honor trail program, which is baked into the vehicles’ infotainment system. It provides trail mapping and guides for 68 trails, including six new ones recently added. If you spend any time off-road, the maps and other functions included in the Uconect 5 infotainment system are a huge selling point, as they will get you well off the beaten path and back again.

The new trails include:

  • Quart Canyon: Hot Springs Off-Road Park, Arkansas
  • Barney Rubble Blue Trail #49: Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area, Pennsylvania
  • Fern Ridge Trail #121: Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area, Pennsylvania
  • C-2 Trail #141: Kansas Rocks Recreation Park, Kansas
  • Rattlesnake Alley Trail #149: Kansas Rocks Recreation Park, Kansas
  • Cougar Crossing: Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch Missouri

Trail Navigation for Jeep

Owners can use the Badge of Honor app to locate waypoints and trail highlights, and other users can share photos. The Adventure Guide feature brings detailed maps with 200 off-road destinations programmed in to start. Owners can view the Rubicon Trail in California, Hell’s Revenge in Utah, and Jericho Mountain in New Hampshire.

Beyond mapping, the Jeep app gives owners the ability to share data with each other and to determine a trail’s difficulty before heading out to tackle it. Owners sharing photos should prevent surprises on the trail and make it much easier to navigate off-road. It also provides two-way mapping for trails that require reversing course.

Jeep Interiors

Both the Wrangler and Gladiator offer the ultimate off-road experience, and Jeep offers a range of configurations and upgrades to make them even more capable. The upgrades for 2023 brought a larger infotainment screen, which now measures 12.3 inches. In addition to the Badge of Honor app, the system features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth with multiple device connections, SiriusXM radio, and more. The Uconnect 5 interface is one of the most feature-rich and easiest-to-use of any system on the market and is less distracting than most while driving.
