Chrysler Previews Exciting New Airflow Graphite Concept at 2022 NY International Auto Show

The future of Chrysler is on the horizon, and it’s just a taste of what’s to come. Since its premier at the 2022 New York International Auto Show, the Chrysler Airflow Graphite Concept has created tons of buzz with its sleek design, all-electric performance, and innovative features that represent the new direction of the brand. As Chrysler moves toward an all-electric lineup, the Airflow Graphite Concept shows what the automaker is capable of.
About the Airflow Graphite Concept
Chrysler’s showing at the New York International Auto Show revealed one of the most exciting vehicles in attendance. Improving on its showing since the Las Vegas auto show earlier in the year, the Airflow Graphite Concept added small upgrades that really made it stand out. The stunningly modern exterior is clad in Galaxy Black set off by Cyprus Copper accents that continue to the interior. An updated Chrysler badge highlights the grille that spans the entire width of the vehicle with crystal LED headlights at either side.
Inside, the Airflow features premium materials made sustainably, going hand-in-hand with the fully electric powertrain. Personalized touchscreens show off Chrysler’s technological advancements and bring a new level of connectivity. STLA Brain shows off the newest software architecture that allows real-time updates that keep the Airflow current without the need for newer hardware. Another exciting new feature is STLA AutoDrive, a Level 3 autonomous driving technology that works hand-in-hand with STLA Brain for over-the-air updates.
The concept is a preview of what could be Chrysler’s first fully-electric vehicle the brand plans to release by 2025; however, it is still a concept. We can expect even more changes by the release date, but the Airflow is a mark of progress. It’s the first step toward a fully-electric lineup by 2028, and everything from the design to the high-tech features show what will be featured in the vehicles to come. Expect all-wheel drive capability with dual electric motors powered by a battery capable of a 400-mile range. Chrysler engineering minimizes the space needed for the powertrain, allowing for a more comfortable interior and overall lighter vehicle that maximizes range and performance.
